YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan met with Co-President of Euronest Kristian Vigenin on Friday.

Sargsyan welcomed Vigenin and stated that his visit would be a good opportunity to get acquainted with the processes in Armenia and the region, as well as the challenges and the nature of the problems. The President expressed hope that the visit will contribute to further strengthening and development of relations between Armenia and the EU, Presidential press service informed Armenian News - NEWS.am.

Reflecting on the activities of advisory platform for cooperation between the EU and the Eastern partners in the "Eastern Partnership" – Euronest program, the parties called it a model platform for promoting understanding and dialogue, strengthening relations and promoting cooperation among the member countries of "Eastern Partnership".

The sides also touched upon ongoing reforms in Armenia. Stressing that the relations of Armenia with the European Union is based on shared values, Serzh Sargsyan said that the ongoing reforms in Armenia played a key role in the development of cooperation between Armenia and EU states.
