YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Special Investigation Service filed a petition with the court, requesting an extension of the confinement of Hovhannes Tamamyan, former Chief of the Police Force Criminal Investigation Department, for two more months, Haykakan Zhamanak daily writes.

“The court has not yet responded to the petition. Tamamyan is in prison for already eight months, and he is charged with abuse of official power, which has brought forth serious consequences,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
