Two people were killed and four others were injured, including two police officers, in a shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA, sources say, reports CBS.

At around 6pm local time on Thursday, armed police closed the streets and cordoned off a residential complex in the area of  Blaisdell Avenue.

Shots were fired, eyewitnesses said.

One of the police officers was severely injured.

The Minneapolis Police Department, however, has not publicized the cause of this incident.

The patrol service is on location.
