YEREVAN. - Wholesale prices for Internet must be reduced 10-15 times in Armenia, said Executive Director of VivaCell-MTS Ralph Yirikian at a press conference on Wednesday.

“This is a major issue that could potentially influence development of the IT sector,” said Yirikian.

He argued that although there were positive improvements in internet tariffs in recent years, wholesale prices are still very high. Armenian public and private sector should collaborate to obtain a cheaper Internet from European providers, says Yirikian.
