Almost one hundreed trucks were stuck on the Armenian-Geogian border due to closed Upper Lars checkpoint from the Georgian side. The major part of the trucks was heading to Armenia, these way is the only one for cargo supply from Russia.

Many cars have been blocked on the way for three weeks, Vesti.ru reported. The drivers are short of food, many of them have health problems.

Under the agreement the Georgian side has the right to limit traffic for big transport under unfavorable weather conditions.

However, the Russian source says there have been no precipitations and the road was passable. Now it is snowing and unless it stops the trucks will have to spend the winter months on the border.
