The missions of Belgium, Jordan, and the European Union to the UN on Friday issued a "Call to Action for Palestinian Children in the West Bank and Gaza Strip" and called on all member states to join the initiative, Al Jazeera reported.
The call to action includes five points, the Belgian and Jordanian missions to the UN said in social media posts: Calling on all parties to cease fire in Gaza immediately. Respect for international human rights and humanitarian law in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
An end to "grave violations" against Palestinian children, including the release of those held in detention and captivity - in the West Bank and Gaza.
"Safe and unrestricted humanitarian access" to Gaza and the occupied West Bank. The callers also pledge to support expanded UN action to address the needs of Palestinian children in Gaza and the West Bank.
