Tropical Storm "Beryl" has formed in the Atlantic Ocean and could become the year's first hurricane before reaching the Caribbean early next week. The Barbados Meteorological Service issued a hurricane warning for Barbados early Saturday morning.

"Beryl" is the second named storm of the hurricane season, which is forecast to last from June 1 to November 30 in the Atlantic.

Earlier this month, Tropical Storm "Alberto" hit northeastern Mexico, bringing heavy rains that killed four people.
