Although Harris' approval rating is as low as that of the current president, her rating remains high among black voters and women. Also, Harris has a significant advantage over other potential Democratic candidates; running for vice president with Biden, she can use the funds raised to fund her own campaign if the White House leader decides not to seek re-election.

Recently, Harris has also begun to strengthen her position in the Biden administration, including in matters of national security. She called on the officials of the White House to pay more attention to the humanitarian problems of the Gaza Strip and to focus on the development of a post-conflict settlement plan in the enclave.

The presidential elections in the US will take place on November 5. Former President Donald Trump has already collected the necessary number of delegates' votes to be nominated by the Republicans as a candidate for the head of state. Joe Biden, who will run for a second term, has the support of a sufficient number of delegates from the Democratic Party.
