GYUMRI. - Turkish businessmen of Diyarbakir attended on Thursday Shirak EXPO 2011 held in Armenian Gyumri city. The guests were interested in each and every product, from cheese and honey production to furniture making.
The most frequent questions that Turkish guests asked almost all companies presented at the EXPO where: which are the main markets for local products and do Armenian businessmen have the space and means to start a business and enhance it.
Guests from Turkey expressed hope that similar meetings will contribute to fostering cooperation among business circles of Armenia and Turkey.
Earlier Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that during the Armenian-Turkish business forum that was held in Yerevan Armenian and Turkish businessmen signed a framework agreement, stipulating for ratification of contracts between entrepreneurs and businessmen of the two countries, as well as lobbying for opening of Armenian-Turkish border.
From the Armenian side the agreement was signed by the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen, from the Turkish side by the Turkish Armenian Business Development Council.
