YEREVAN. – Oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) office coordinator Levon Zurabyan presented the legal-political declaration on dismissal of Armenian incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan at the rally on Friday.

“It is a tool to serve for two goals. Firstly, to gather the citizens, NGOs and political organizations, to raise such waive as to force the President to resign. Secondly, to make effective pressures on parliamentary powers and individual MPs, and make gaps inside the regime.

According to the Armenian Constitution, the President can be dismissed in case of high-treason or serious crime.

By abusing office, he enforced criminal-oligarchic and administrative resources and made violations, terrors on the day of the presidential elections [February 19, 2008] to gain votes for his benefit.

As a PM, he supported to announce illegal emergency regime on March 1, [2008] to disperse the peace demonstrations through weapons.

As a President he violated the principal of independence in the judicial system, directed judges. As a result, hundreds of people appeared in the prison and subjected to persecutions.

Moreover, the alarming migration threatens the future of the state. The only way to prevent it is Sargsyan’s dismissal from the authority,” Zurabyan stated.
