Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will hold a meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump in his Mar-a-Lago estate (Florida) after the NATO summit in Washington, Bloomberg news agency reports citing sources.

Last week, Orban made several foreign visits to seek ways to resolve the situation in Ukraine. On July 5, he discussed possible conditions for the start of peace talks in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Three days before that, he visited Kyiv, where he spoke about it with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

After traveling to Kyiv and Moscow, Orban visited Beijing and met with Chinese President Xi Jinping there. The head of government assured that he intends to continue his peacekeeping mission and, in particular, to use his stay in Washington at the NATO summit for this purpose.

One of the agency's sources emphasized that Trump did not ask Orban to lay the groundwork for any peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

Other details of the upcoming meeting were not disclosed.
