YEREVAN. – All Armenian kindergartens and additional 12 primary schools out of Yerevan’s 161 primary schools will have heating by December 1, the head of Yerevan City Hall department of general education Gayane Soghomonyan said during a meeting with reporters in Yerevan City Hall.

She said that the greatest reform was making kindergartens free of charge. She mentioned that before the reform 25,000 children went to kindergartens, but today 29,000 already children go to kindergartens. There is financial support from the 2012 state budget so the kinder gardens will be free next year as well.

“On the mayor’s order we have visited many primary schools to get acquainted with the heating systems, children’s meal plan and so on,” Gayane Soghomonyan said.
