The withdrawal of the current US President Joe Biden from the presidential race did not surprise the Kremlin; what has been happening in the country in recent years has taught them not to be surprised by anything, said the press secretary of the head of the Russian state Dmitry Peskov, TASS reports.
"To be honest, the last few years of what has been happening in the US have taught us not to be surprised by anything. So we weren't surprised very much," he said.
Peskov noted that the Kremlin is closely watching developments both in the United States and in all major countries of the world.
US President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race on Sunday, calling on Democrats to endorses the candidacy of the US Vice President Kamala Harris.
