US Vice President Kamala Harris will hold her first rally with her new vice presidential nominee on August 6 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the campaign said, reports Reuters.
The location of the first stop suggests Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has moved to the top of a short list of running mates Harris is expected to announce the decision as soon as Monday, ahead of Tuesday's event, the sources said.
She is expected to be confirmed as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee soon. Officially, the Democratic Party will vote on this matter between August 1 and 5 in an online format.
In the US presidential elections to be held on November 5, the Republican Party will nominate former President Donald Trump, and Senator JD Vance will be his vice president pick.
