A three-day mourning has been declared in Iran in connection with the death of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement (Hamas), reports IRNA.

The Iranian government, condemning the “terrorist act” against Haniyeh, considered it "another clear proof of the terrorist nature of the Zionist [i.e. Israel] regime."

Also, Tehran expressed solidarity with the “oppressed and resilient” Palestinian people.
