Prices in the Armenian capital Yerevan have risen. According to the rating of the most expensive cities in 2011 (Worldwide Cost of Living Survey 2011) Yerevan added three lines, taking 167th place.

 The most expensive city in the world in 2011 is Luanda in Angola, the cheapest is Karachi in Pakistan.

Among CIS countries, Russia's capital Moscow is the leader in high prices and holds 4th place in overall rating, falling behind Tokyo and N'Djamena (Chad). Geneva is in fifth place.

In the South Caucasus region the most expensive city is Baku – 48th. Istanbul is 70th, Tehran – 130th. The cheapest city is Tbilisi – 191th on the list.

The rankings of “Worldwide Cost of Living Survey 2011” counts 214 cities covering prices of more than 200 types of products and services, including housing rent, transportation, food, clothing, household goods and entertainment.
