TBILISI. – Armenian and Georgian border passes will soon operate on ‘one window’ principle, Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vera Kobalia said on Tuesday.

The system will work in the following way: if a vehicle was checked in one of the border passes, there will be no need to check it in the second one.

“Long processes on border passes are obstacles for business and tourism development,” Kobalia said, Novosty Georgia quotes.

Joint control issue on Armenian-Georgian border customs was discussed during the meeting of governmental delegations at the Georgian presidential palace on Tuesday. Wide range of bilateral relations was discussed during the meeting stressing energy and trade spheres as priorities, Georgian FM Grigol Vashadze told the journalists.            

Armenian delegation headed by the President Serzh Sargsyan is in Tbilisi.
