The government of Lithuania has agreed on the additional funding plan—in the amount of 36.3 million euros—for the country’s military industry, reports Delfi news website.

The additional funds will be allocated on the basis of the joint decree of the ministers of economy and investments, foreign affairs, defense, and internal affairs.

The country's authorities expect that these investments will enable to increase the competitiveness of the military industry and meet the demands of Lithuania and the EU in defense and security, said Ausrine Armonaite the Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania, commenting on this decision.

Also, the Lithuanian government hopes that the approved plan will promote the export of Lithuanian products.
