YEREVAN. – Yerevan City Mayor Taron Margaryan received the participants of Junior Eurovision-2011 international song contest on Friday. The final round of the song contest will take place on Saturday in Yerevan.

Taron Margaryan stressed the importance of organizing the event in Yerevan, mentioning that our capital having several thousand years old traditions currently lives with an active cultural life, the press service of Yerevan City Hall informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“I am sure that the competition program which delights and pleases people every year will please people all around the world this year too. I wish luck to all of our talented children. I hope you take the heat of Yerevan with you and will want to visit Yerevan in the future too,” the mayor mentioned.

Vladimir Arzumanyan who brought Eurovision to Armenia was also present in the meeting.

At the end of the meeting the participants were photographed with the mayor.
