“Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements about the threat to the republic's sovereignty from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) contradict common sense.” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters, TASS reported.
“I think they (statements) contradict common sense and reality. Because if something 'threatens' you, especially national security, then what is the point of saying that they (Armenia) are still remaining there (in the CSTO),” the diplomat said on the margins of the IV Eurasian Women's Forum. - If they stay, it means they see some expediency in it. At the same time, they were saying that the CSTO has “withdrawn from Armenia”. This all contradicts common sense and logic.”
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the World Armenian Summit that the CSTO poses threats to Armenia's security, its continued existence, sovereignty and statehood.
