GYUMRI. – Armenia’s Gyumri city held rally on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities for the protection of disabled people on Saturday.

The rally participants once again spoke on their rights and problems with ‘Together for a better future,’ ‘We demand equal rights’ and other posters. They reminded that Armenian Parliament ratified last year the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Thus, it must make the state comfortable for the disabled people.

“No state can be considered democratic, if it does not provide education, work, opportunity to form a family and inclusion in public life for all the citizens,” rally participants told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent.
