YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia shall create conditions for the educated to use their knowledge, PM Tigran Sargsyan stated on Sunday during the economic seminar of the ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia.

In his words, the basic process of modern-day economies is no longer the production of goods, but rather the production of knowledge.

As per Tigran Sargsyan, Armenia’s economy also has the same problems as those countries where the annual average GDP per capita is US$ 3,000. “Our task is to surmount poverty in a short period. The key issue for us is the formation of the middle class,” the PM stated.

And to that end, as Tigran Sarsyan noted, the authorities have started developing an industrial policy geared toward export. “The policy’s main principle is the inputting of a new platform, that is, the state-private sector cooperation,” PM noted.
