An Iranian military adviser has died Thursday after an Israeli attack in western Syria, reports Mehr News Agency.

Majid Diwani, a military adviser of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps who was in Syria, died after sustaining injuries in an Israeli airstrike on Damascus earlier this week, the local Iranian media reported.

Early on Tuesday, Syrian official television had reported—citing a military source—that three people were killed and nine others were injured as a result of Israel's "air aggression" against Damascus.
