Taiwan's armed forces have recorded 153 aircraft of the People's Liberation Army of China approaching the island; this is a record figure for one day, according to Taiwan's defense department.

The respective statement added that from 5am Monday to 6am Tuesday local time, Taiwan recorded the approach of 14 ships of the Chinese army and 12 ships of some other Chinese state agencies to the island.

As assured in the aforesaid statement of the island's defense department, 11 aircraft of China crossed the middle line of the Taiwan Strait, and entered the air defense recognition zone in the northern, southwestern, and eastern parts of the island.

The Chinese army on Monday conducted the Joint Sword 2024B exercise around Taiwan.
