Elon Musk has donated $75 million to his America Pac fund, which is engaged in supporting Donald Trump's presidential election campaign in swing states of the US, according to America Pac accounts, report Bloomberg and The Guardian.
As per the presented data, America Pac spent $72 million from Musk's donations in July-September; that's more than any pro-Trump group has spent to attract voters, The Guardian notes.
Musk was the only donor of this fund between July 3 and September 5, Bloomberg states.
On Wednesday, he announced that he would be traveling to the must-win state of Pennsylvania for the final stretch of the election cycle to give “a series of talks.” Participation to them is free, but the participants need to sign a petition on the America Pac website, which, according to Musk, will show support for freedom of speech and the right to bear arms in the US. Pennsylvania is one of the important states for Trump and his rival in the presidential election campaign, US Vice President Kamala Harris from the Democratic Party, The Guardian reminds.
It added that by donating $75 million, Musk became one of the biggest donors to the presidential candidate from the Republican Party. In particular, in the same period as Musk, gaming business owner Miriam Adelson donated $95 million to Trump's election campaign.
