Iran will not give up its right to respond to the Israeli attack on the Islamic republic, said Esmail Baghaei, the spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
"Iran will not give up its right to respond to the aggression of the Zionist regime [i.e. Israel]. It is Iran's obligation, which is enshrined in international law and in the legislation of any country that faces aggression and the use of force. We [i.e. Iran] are determined and serious in responding appropriately to the Zionist attack. It will happen when the [Iranian] armed forces and officials make a relevant decision," Baghaei said at a press conference.
"Our armed forces constantly follow all the actions of the Zionist regime. Our air defense systems intervened in time and repelled most of the Zionist regime's shells," added the Iranian MFA spokesperson.
