On October 25-28, the 11th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum was held in Yinchuan, capital of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and under the theme of "Promoting Green Development and Building a Common Home.”

During the forum, Central Asian dignitaries highly appreciated China's achievements in various domains, expressing hope for further expansion of cooperation with China, Xinhua reports.

Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov noted that China actively invests advanced green technologies, plays a leading role in clean energy and sustainable practices, and the cooperation of the two countries in this sector opens up new opportunities for improving economic efficiency and the environmental situation.

"We intend to continue our cooperation with the Chinese side in the field of renewable energy sources and invite Chinese companies to jointly implement projects in Kyrgyzstan," Baisalov said.

Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Ziyozoda Sulaimon noted that China is one of Tajikistan's important trade partners. The amount of Chinese investments in Tajikistan's economy in 2007-2023 amounted to more than $4 billion, of which $2.5 billion direct investments. Today, more than 700 companies with Chinese capital are operating in Tajikistan.

"Large projects of state and regional significance are being implemented in Tajikistan with the participation of Chinese enterprises. They are an example of our effective cooperation and Tajik-Chinese friendship that is growing day by day," Sulaimon said.

Akmal Saidov,  Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan, said that his country is sincerely happy with China's achievements, and expressed hope that ties will be strengthened in transport, logistics, high technology, and agriculture.

"Cooperation is being strengthened in such new directions as investments and technologies, poverty reduction and rural development, green energy and digital economy; China is our main partner in these domains," he said.

Kazakhstan's ambassador to China, Shakhrat Nuryshev, having lived in China for more than 30 years, is a witness of the country's development in that region.

He noted that the dynamics of the growth of trade of the Central Asian countries with China has been noticed recently. According to him, last year this indicator increased by 27 percent and exceeded $89 billion, and Kazakhstan's share was $41 billion.

In the first nine months of this year, the trade amounted to $69 billion, $33 billion of which was Kazakhstan's share, he added.

Nurishev said that Kazakhstan is ready to continue to invest in trade with China and develop border trading hubs and digital platforms.

He added that Kazakhstan is interested in introducing advanced Chinese technology in water supply, greening and combating desertification, in order to prevent the shortage of clean water.

Bairam Klichmamedov, counselor of the Turkmenistan Embassy in China, said that this forum is the beginning of further mutually beneficial communication in the "Central Asia-China" format and promotes partnership and cooperation in trade, economy, and culture.

"We intend to invest our contribution in the expansion of cooperation from now on as well," he said.

The China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum is a national-level cooperation platform for institutional exchange between China and Central Asian countries. This year, this event, organized jointly with the SCO Chinese Committee on Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation and northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, brought together more than 300 participants, including high-ranking government representatives from Central Asian countries.
