The main governing body of Hezbollah on Tuesday announced Naim Qassem as the movement's new leader, according to the movement's statement, Arab media report.
Naim Qassem is 71 years old. After the killing Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut, Qassem carried out the duties of the head of Hezbollah. Qassem graduated from Beirut University, became one of the founders of Hezbollah in 1982, and was the deputy leader of this movement since 1991.
