YEREVAN. – Lebanese President Michel Suleiman stated that the current processes in the region will promote to the democratic political system in the states of the Arab world and the interests of Lebanon, The Daily Star reports.

In the interview to an Armenian TV channel at the eve of his official visit to Armenia Suleiman stated that the states in the region could not be excluded from political rearrangements, which the world faces as a result of globalization.

The President stressed the role of the Armenian citizens of Lebanon, NOW Lebanon reports.

“We are looking forward to developing Armenian-Lebanese relations by signing new agreements and protocols and strengthening mutual political support, he said to an Armenia TV channel.

Suleiman will visit Armenia accompanied by his spouse Waafa Suleiman, and the delegation including ministers and MPs on Thursday.
