Spanish rail operator Renfe has suspended commuter train services in the autonomous community of Catalonia due to bad weather.

“Due to unfavorable weather conditions and warnings of heavy rain, traffic on all lines of Rodalies de Catalunya is suspended until at least 14:00 local time,” reads the publication Renfe in X. In turn, the Minister of Transport of Spain Oscar Puente in X said that because of bad weather 15 planes that were supposed to land at the airport of Barcelona, had to divert to other air harbors.

The State Meteorological Agency of Spain raised the level of weather danger in the area of Barcelona to the maximum because of heavy rains.
