Maia Sandu is an illegitimate president, recognized only by her sponsors and supporters abroad. The people of Moldova feel betrayed and robbed, Sandu's rival in the last prezidentine elections, Alexandru Stoianoglo, said.

In this context, the Party of Socialists also said:

“The recent presidential elections, especially voting in the Transnistrian region and at polling stations abroad, cannot be considered a free and democratic expression of the will of the people. We faced unjustified reduction of polling stations, blocking of voters' access, campaigning on the day of silence and election day and other violations in a number of countries, including hundreds of cases of deliberate falsification, disappearance of ballot boxes. Thus, hundreds of thousands of the country's citizens were unable to exercise their electoral right, which explains the final difference in votes.

International observers reported massive cases of the authorities' use of administrative resources, forced mobilization of public sector workers, and unequal access of candidates to the media.

Even in these conditions, Maia Sandu lost. The real victory in the presidential elections was won by Alexandru Stoianoglo. 51.19% of Moldovan citizens - people who work, receive pensions, pay taxes, raise children and live here - voted for him. The majority of Moldovan citizens spoke out against the policies of the current government.

Maia Sandu has become the “president of the diaspora.”

Today it has become clear that free and fair elections cannot take place in Moldova without observing the minimum rules of election campaigns characteristic of democratic countries.

Our party will negotiate with other political forces and civil society to develop a common strategy to depoliticize state institutions and ensure a level playing field in electoral campaigns.

The people of Moldova will make the final decision in the upcoming parliamentary elections”.
