Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Monday met with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, who has arrived in the Azerbaijan capital Baku to participate in the COP 29 climate conference, APA reports.

Among other matters, the parties discussed the Armenian-Azerbaijani process, too.

"The [Azerbaijani] head of state highlighted the mediating role played by President Charles Michel in the negotiation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, noting that under his mediation, the structure of the negotiation process and the agenda on key issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan were established," added APA.
