Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, announced that Iran will take all measures to protect its nuclear facilities from Israeli forces, report Mehr News Agency.

Regarding the UN Security Council resolution on the illegality of Israel's attacks and threats against nuclear facilities, Baghaei said in his weekly presser on Monday that Resolution 533 is one of the rules prohibiting any threats against nuclear facilities.

He added that this document clearly states that the UN Security Council shall intervene in such cases. Israel's threats are a threat to the countries' national security, and the UN must give a decisive response to them, noted the Iranian foreign ministry spokesman.

"Our region has been familiar with these security-violating actions of the Zionist regime [i.e. Israel] for decades," Baghaei, noted, and added that Iran will take all measures to protect its nuclear facilities.
