Archbishop Karekin Bekdjian has died at the age of 82 in the Surp Pirgic (Holy Savior) Armenian Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey, informs the web page of the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople (Istanbul).
Archbishop Bekdjian, the former Primate of the German Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, had come to Istanbul from Germany several months ago and was receiving treatment in the aforementioned Armenian hospital.
