The Parliament of Georgia of new convocation will start work on November 25 despite the lawsuits filed by President Salome Zourabichvili and the MPs with the Constitutional Court regarding the recent elections, parliament speaker Shalva Papuashvili has said.

"We will gather and recognize our rights and powers," Papuashvili said, News Georgia reports.

He called "stupidity" the assurances that the aforesaid lawsuits could hinder the process of recognizing the powers of the new Georgian parliament.

According to Papuashvili, there is no legislative norm that can suspend the activities of the newly elected Parliament of Georgia for more than 30 days.
