The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the country’s former defense minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes relating to the Gaza war, reports the Financial Times.

The court announced that it had unanimously decided to reject Israel's appeal of the ICC's jurisdiction.

The ICC added that there are reasonable grounds to believe that Netanyahu and Gallant are criminally responsible for the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare.

Also, the ICC noted that there are reasonable grounds to believe that they deliberately and knowingly deprived the people of Gaza of food, water, medicine, medical supplies, fuel, and electricity.
