In the wake of the International Criminal Court (ICC) issuing arrest warrants for senior Israeli officials including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Canada’s PM said they’d abide by the court’s ruling, reports the Toronto Sun.
On Thursday, the Netherlands-based court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu, former Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant, and Hamas leader Ibrahim Al-Masri in connection with the Gaza conflict.
“We [i.e. Canada] are one of the founding members of the International Criminal Court, we stand up for international law, and we will abide by all regulations and rulings of the international courts,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said at a press conference Thursday.
