Banks in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Hungary, Germany, Kazakhstan and Thailand have stopped servicing bank cards of the UnionPay payment system issued by Russia's Gazprombank, TASS reported.

On November 21, the U.S. Treasury Department announced a new package of anti-Russian sanctions that included dozens of individuals and entities, including Gazprombank, which had not been sanctioned earlier.

The credit institution notified customers that it was recording difficulties in the operation of UnionPay cards abroad and advised them to withdraw cash in the near future.
