The Israeli army (IDF) said in a post on the social networking site X that it detected “terrorist activity” at a site it claimed belonged to Lebanon's Hezbollah movement, which hosts medium-range missiles in southern Lebanon.
“The threat was eliminated by a fighter jet attack,” the army said, adding that its forces stationed in southern Lebanon were ”operating and preventing violations of the ceasefire that came into force early yesterday morning.”
According to Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera, this is just one of several incidents today and yesterday in which Israeli troops shelled populated areas in southern Lebanon.
