Death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the start of the conflict has approached 4,000

Another 78 people were killed inside Lebanon on Tuesday and 266 were injured, Al Jazeera reported, citing the country's Health Ministry. This brings the death toll from the beginning of the Gaza war until the ceasefire on Wednesday morning to 3,961, the report said, adding that 16,520 people were injured.

At least 248 children and 736 women were killed, mostly in Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon on Tuesday. Since October last year, at least 222 health workers have been killed, another 330 injured and 94 hospitals damaged in attacks.
