Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to neighboring Turkey amid terrorist groups' offensive against Syrian government forces in Idlib and Aleppo, Mehr reported.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that Abbas Araghchi will visit Ankara on Monday, December 2.

In turn, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Araghchi plans to visit the Syrian capital Damascus before leaving for Turkey.

The trip will take place against the backdrop of events in northeastern Syria and the offensive of terrorist groups against Syrian government forces in Idlib and Aleppo.
