The terrorist groups that became active in northern Syria on November 27 are acting in coordination with the United States, said Esmail Baghaei, the spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

"Those gray spots existed in the territory of Syria even before that due to the mistakes of the United States and the occupation of some regions. Its coincidence with the ceasefire in Lebanon and the statement of the US authorities that they do not feel any threat from those [terrorist] groups, proves that there is coordination between the terrorists and the US," Baghaei said at the press conference.

The main beneficiary of these events in Syria is Israel, noted the Iranian MFA spox.

"It can be said that the activeness of terrorists in Lebanon immediately after the ceasefire is just a coincidence. But if you look at the history of these terrorist groups, you will realize that it is not just a coincidence," Baghaei added.
