The organizers of anti-government demonstrations in Tbilisi will attempt to disrupt the presidential elections scheduled for December 14 in Georgia. This is noted in a statement by the State Security Service of Georgia.

"According to the information, the organizers of these destructive and criminal activities plan on not to hold the process of Georgian presidential elections on December 14, 2024 and to prevent the election of the sixth president of Georgia, which will artificially cause a government crisis," the statement added. "To this end, the crime organizers are considering, especially on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week, and partially on Friday, to maximize the tension of the situation, which will result in the death of 2-3 people. With this sacrifice, they will attempt to increase the protest charge, encourage radical sentiments which, according to their plan, will eventually escalate into uncontrollable processes, and the authorities shall be blamed for that."

Also, the State Security Service of Georgia urged the population to exercise maximum vigilance so that they do not willingly or unintentionally become a victim a criminal plan.
