South Korea will impose new sanctions against 11 individuals and 15 legal entities in connection with "illegal military cooperation" between Russia and North Korea, or Pyongyang's nuclear missile program, informed the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It noted that this measure is applied in relation to the joint statement by the foreign ministers of the Western countries—and dedicated to the cooperation between Russia and North Korea.

Generals, engineers, and officers of the North Korean army are on the list of these new sanctions.

These sanction will apply also to Verus, PARSEK, Timer Bank, and several other organizations.

Thirteen organizations are listed as “Russian,” and seven individuals are listed.

Seoul has assured that the individuals and companies on this list have assisted in the funding and deliveries related to North Korea's nuclear missile program.

These sanctions will come into force on Thursday.
