Asma al-Assad, the wife of former president Bashar al-Assad of Syria, wants a divorce, a source said, reports Haberturk.

According to this source, Asma al-Assad allegedly does not like the living conditions in Moscow, and she wants to go to London.

Bashar al-Assad's wife asked for "special permission" to leave Moscow, Haberturk added.

Bashar al-Assad is forbidden to leave Moscow, Turkish media report. But there is no official confirmation of this information yet.

Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson of the Russian president, said that the reports about the restriction on Bashar al-Assad's travel and the divorce plans of his wife were inaccurate.
