Mercedes-AMG G 63 has a special version in honor of the famous race car driver, reports Motor.ru.

Atelier HOF—formerly Hofele—has shown the project of an SUV with the index "1955." The special spot is dedicated to the anniversary of Stirling Moss' victory in the 1955 Mille Miglia endurance race. The British race car driver crossed the finish line first in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR under the number 722. And the latter is the number that is depicted on the sides of the Gelica. The edition is limited to ten samples.

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 inherits the traditional carbon body kit from HOF, with different bumpers, wheel arch extensions, and a folding cover; the wheels and exhaust system have also been changed. The masters emphasized the carbon fiber wheels with a diameter of 24 inches and removed the logos of Mercedes-Benz and AMG. The interior of this car is covered with checkered cloth and blue leather, the steering wheel has a wooden insert, and the ceiling has a starry sky.

The power of its V8 turbo engine has increased from 585 to 722 hp, and the torque has increased from 850 to 950 Nm. The maximum speed will be 240 km/h—instead of 220 km/h. The inscription "722" and the special decoration of the front panel of the folding covers will remind the exclusive series. The price of this super SUV in honor of Stirling Moss is not mentioned; but taking into account the number of editions, one should be ready for the mark of about half a million dollars.

Two weeks ago, the HOF tuning studio produced a similar 1,063 hp "Gaelic" in honor of Sir Lewis Hamilton. The special version then marked the end of the Briton's career at Mercedes-AMG; the seven-time champion will move to Ferrari in 2025, and will compete in Formula 1 for the first time with a car without a Mercedes-Benz engine.
