At least four people have died in three US states due to a snowstorm, NBC reports.

In Missouri, a public works employee suffered a fatal injury while he was performing snow removal operations, Jackson County officials said.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that two people were killed in a weather-related crash in southwest Wichita .

And in Texas, a person was found dead because of cold weather in Houston, the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County said. The body was found directly in front of a bus shelter.

Also, nearly 2,000 flights within, into, or out of the US have been canceled, according to FlightAware data.
