The Armenian national body for demining operations, the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise, has recapped its work that was done in 2024.
In particular, it informed that as of the end of December 2024, a total of 114 confirmed and 22 suspected hazardous areas contaminated by landmines and unexploded ordnance exist in Armenia, with a total area of 43,536,583 square meters.
And according to records explosive ordnance contamination in Armenia is the highest in Gegharkunik and Syunik Provinces.
