In its Cabinet meeting Thursday, the Armenian government approved the agreement with the European Union (EU) on Armenia's participation in the crisis management operations of the EU.

The agreement provides an opportunity for Armenia to make the best use of the experience and knowledge of the EU in the managing of emergencies and other crisis situations.

Also, the agreement will create an opportunity to develop bilateral cooperation in security and defense.

The agreement will contribute to the development of the integration process and bilateral partnership with European organizations to strengthen Armenia's resilience in emergencies, will promote the professional growth of the personnel leaving for training from Armenia, and the improvement of training in the managing of emergencies and other crisis situations.
