YEREVAN. – There is nothing extraordinary that Yerevan former mayor Gagik Beglaryan is elected a delegate for ruling Republican Party of Armenia 13th congress, Vice Speaker, party’s spokesperson Edward Sharmazanov told Armenian News-NEWS.am commenting on the initial decision of Sayat-Nova-2 of Centre district and Metaks-1 companies.

“Beglaryan continued to be a member of the Republican Party council and executive body after his resignation as Yerevan Mayor,” Sharmazanov said.

To note, Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan was also elected as a delegate at the congress.

Sargsyan thanked for the trust and answered congress participants’ questions.

Sharmazanov had earlier told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the congress is scheduled for early next year.

Gagik Beglaryan was dismissed after the scandal between him and employee of Armenian presidential staff.
